More Ocean Fun! Freebies!!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! This is a fun weekend in my town. There are lots of picnics and a fabulous parade in town on Monday. It's like a great big slice of American pie!

We just finished our ocean unit. For the Working With Words Station, the children went fishing for sight words. I taped a sight word to the bottom of each little fish. After all of the fish had been caught, they wrote the words onto a piece of paper. I also created a few math activities.

Kindergarten Dinosaur Museum

Hi friends! My class had their dinosaur museum two weeks ago. They sing a song and perform a small Reader's Theatre for the parents. Then, they act as museum guides and take their parents on a "tour" of our classroom museum. Most of the exhibits display our classroom projects or lessons, but some of them are interactive such as the paleontologist dig in our sand table and the volcano experiment. Many of the projects are from Deanna Jump's dinosaur unit. I have also found a lot of great ideas from other blog friends. I have tons of pictures so I am just sharing some of them. Enjoy the pics!

Here are the triceratops! We used coffee filters for the frill.

This was right outside my classroom door. There was a nest of eggs that we had made from paper mache.

Last, but not least, here I am with my fantastic teacher's aide and special education teacher. We dressed as paleontologists!
